New horizons for Constellation Sailing!

We’re back and with big news to share!

This has been a busy year, and we’re excited to finally return to Constellation Sailing with new updates and renewed energy. After three and a half years living aboard, working tirelessly to refit Constellation and bolster our savings accounts, we are thrilled to announce the time has come to set sail for new horizons!

Our cruising plans

We’re setting off on a multi-year sailing adventure that we hope to sustain as long as financially feasible and as long as we’re having a good time doing it!

We have our route rigorously planned while still maintaining a healthy dose of “wherever the wind takes us.” As these things typically go, we suspect our plans may change along the way, but our “Plan A” for our first year of cruising will take us from our homeport in Seattle, Washington, through the Panama Canal, across the Atlantic, and over to the United Kingdom. From there, the big-picture vision is to work our way back to the Pacific Northwest via the figure-eight route.

Sailing is a slow, peaceful, and often challenging method of travel, and we’re looking forward to the pace and self-sufficiency that is inherent to cruising.

THE BIG-PICTURE VISION – FIGURE EIGHT ROUTE

A dotted line travels from Washington state, down the coast to the Panama Canal, up to the Bahamas, across the Atlantic Ocean, into the Mediterranean, back across the Atlantic Ocean and through the Panama Canal, south to the Galapagos and South Pacific Islands, north to Hawaii and on to Alaska, then coming to an end in Washington state.
